Technical Support Engineer (IRC2605)

 

Responsibilities:

The primary focus of this role is to support Rosemount AP with product database support by maintaining the product data structure according to pre-defined specifications and needs. This position will directly benefit our customers by improving the quality and maintenance of the division’s product databases (Oracle, Toolkit and JDE).
Maintains data and programs rules for models in multiple JDE branches;
Interprets Engineering Drawings and Change Orders and determines effect to JDE data and program configuration rules for model changes;
Assures product quality by locating and correcting PIR errors in ATO models by trouble-shooting configurator rules, and writing or using scripts and reports from the business system;
Troubleshoots changes to configuration rule structures, and offers advanced configuration programming support;
Utilizes and documents basic scripts (Winbatch, Excel Macros, etc) and reports;
Participates in or leads process improvement teams for ATO model product changes or new product introductions as a representative of ATO model configuration (JDE);
May provide technical application support for custom product database programs;
May write programs to automate data entry for large Engineering Change Orders or item master updates;
Creates new models utilizing design documents provided by the design authority, analyzing the data and using the most efficient logic for all JDE configurations;
Performs daily set-ups (e.g. Remote Seals, T-Wells, Capsules);
Presents individual support measure reports every seven weeks and for product calendar project meetings;
Represents GPD-AP during project meetings and provides input regarding the project’s impact to JDE;
Participates in limited maintenance of Oracle (Item Master, BOM, Parsing) and Toolkit (Option Class, Option Values, Validation Rules);
Liaises between internal customer and RTC and make sure the business systems follow the design authority’s specifications and inform AP hubs.

Requirements:


Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor\'s/College Degree, Engineering or Technical related field.
Preferably with one year experience in Rosemount product support.
Must have working knowledge in MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.
Knowledge in Oracle applications and JDE Configuration is a plus.
Good communication skills – oral/written.
